It is reassuring to know that if you are unable to travel to take your holiday due to a national lockdown, or we are in a local lockdown and unable to host your stay, we guarantee that you will get a full refund.

The refund guarantee covers national lockdowns but does not cover you (or members of your party) for being unable to travel because you (or a member of your party) falls ill with Covid, or are required to quarantine or self-isolate, nor does it cover any other disease, should you miss a train, plane etc, or are unable to travel to us for any other reason, including Tier restrictions. These events can fully be covered by you taking out travel insurance, which we strongly recommend you take out.

Health and Safety/Cleaning

Alexander House follows the Cleaning guidelines provided by our industry body, The Association of Scottish Self Caterers.  In addition we use commercial fogging machines to deep clean on every turnaround. If you are allergic to specific chemicals please get in touch prior to your arrival with us to confirm that these are not used in this deep clean process.

A keybox service continues to be in operation with you collecting your keys from the keybox at your property, using the code supplied to you.

Any further safety measures required at the time of your booking will be advised to you prior to your arrival at the property, or by the housekeeping team on your arrival. Health and Safety Law requires all commercial premises to adhere to strict guidelines. As a Commercial Property, Alexander House reserves the right to alter your booking to meet Government Coronavirus Hospitality & Accommodation Guidance that applies the time of your stay. This may include, but is not limited to; only using onsite catering facilities run by staff directly employed by Alexander House, limiting use of bedrooms to one household only, and/or limiting use of parts of the building and grounds to ensure compliance with guidance, including asking guests to wear masks at specific times and places, to meet current guidance. Should the housekeeping team be needed in an emergency we ask that you adopt suitable social distancing measures to ensure their, and your safety, at all times within and outside the property, in our grounds and fields.
